Quo Vadis map modules are built using a proprietary system which
takes complex raw map data obtained from other vendors and converts
it into databases compatible with your PDA. Our maps are only as accurate as the original source we purchased, and are not meant to be used for high-precision measurement or navigation applications which require highly accurate measurements of the earths surface. The maximum positional accuracy error claimed by our source data provider is approximately 150 feet but in practice we have found the errors to be on the average of about 20 feet. As much as we would like to, we cannot guarantee that all existing roads are present in the map data because our sources do not guarantee it to us. The maps in our map library vary in age, and older cities like New York, for example, are unlikely to have any missing streets at all. Newer, fast-growing cities are more likely to be lacking streets completed one or two years ago. Nevertheless, given the difficulty of recording the numerous updates to roads throughout the U.S. this is true of practically all map programs, and paper maps too, so it should come as no surprise. Check the library for the latest map releases which are bound to be the most accurate and comprehensive. |
